Enjoyed reading that. Thanks for putting it up. Reminded me a lot of my own visit to Kulu/Manali in 2000. The highest I reached was the Rohtang pass, through which passes the road from manali to leh. What I enjoyed most were the quite unique temples there. Manali had what I think is India's only temple for Manu, then there was a Vasishta temple (with the statue of Vasishta resembling more a dacoit than a sage!!), and one even for Hadimba(Ghatotkacha's mom in the Mahabharatha). And then there was the gurudwara at Manikiran and all those hotsprings. Stunning places these. Vacations sure are good times!! :-) anywayz... Have a good weekend. cheers AD
