Leh Lo

I've written up some stuff on the Leh trip here. This is very rudimentary html and the pics havent come out very well after scanning, so be warned.

Read and enjoy !

  1. Lovely photos, thanks for posting that. Did you have any good meals while there? Sounds like you enjoyed yourself.

I wonder if there is a place in the world where poeple have all the "modern" amenities and still greet everyone they meet on the street.

  2. Enjoyed reading that. Thanks for putting it up. Reminded me a lot of my own visit to Kulu/Manali in 2000. The highest I reached was the Rohtang pass, through which passes the road from manali to leh. What I enjoyed most were the quite unique temples there. Manali had what I think is India's only temple for Manu, then there was a Vasishta temple (with the statue of Vasishta resembling more a dacoit than a sage!!), and one even for Hadimba(Ghatotkacha's mom in the Mahabharatha). And then there was the gurudwara at Manikiran and all those hotsprings. Stunning places these. Vacations sure are good times!! :-) anywayz...
    Have a good weekend.
    cheers
