3 walls and an upset stomach

Saw 3 Deewarein yesterday. Liked it a lot. The ending is slightly far fetched and a bit too clever, but the overall tone of the film is extremely good. Very well directed. Naseeruddin Shah is excellent as usual, Jackie doesn't really have much to do but play the strong sober type and Nagesh Kukunoor and Juhi Chawla are passable. Easily Kukunoor's best film yet and one of the better movies I've seen all year. In fact, this could be the best Hindi movie I've seen all year. Felt quite satisfied after watching it yesterday.

Have been walking around with an upset stomach since yesterday morning. Not sure what caused it, but its been keeping me awake for two nights now. Have started a course of antibiotics today, didn't seem to be any other option. Hope it gets better soon.

  9. Beer is the BEST medicine for an upset stomach. Trust me.

  10. Three walls, and the stomach's not better yet? Ah, perhaps what you need is a stronger emetic.

  11. Hmmm! I've been having the same problem ass mentioned in this post ever since I returned. Couple of relatives who came from Australia also had the same problem.

Could be some chinese or pakistani plot to overthrow India???

  12. What is "overthrow India?"

  13. My thoughts exactly - Nagesh Kukunoor has certainly improved a lot. Thought the Ishaan character should have been played by someone younger and better looking than Naseer altho' he's done a great job. Would've made the ending a little more plausible. Still this is definitely a superior movie. I'm jealous - this chap Kukunoor used to be like one of us and he's gone and done what he really wanted ....

  14. Break the indomitable Indian spirit by causing insufferable agony in the intestines???

  15. Was lucky enough to catch the premiere when I landed up at IHC in Delhi quite by chance. Was luckier enough to take part in the question and answer session with Kukunoor. Comes across as a very honest guy with a very dry sense of humour - but that is obvious in the movies he makes.

Have been following your journal for sometime now - anonymously. Have finally got myself an account and was wondering if I could add you as a friend. Please! Please!

  17. :) Aah I will, when I get over the wonder of conversing with Mujib. Now THAT is one guy. One wants to keep on replying to his comments just because you know that he'll come up with a gem each time. Whoo! Unbelievable!

  18. Is it Salmonella or Amebiasis? Am at a pharma client and hence that is a bit of show off.

The antibiotic that Sindha suggested for me worked. So, you dont have to look around for help.

  19. Tummy is better, thanks. I did use the same antibiotic
