Actually the deed hasn't been drawn yet. The agreement however has been signed by both parties and my entire savings has been handed over to a total stranger. Hopefully this stranger will build me a home in about eight months time.
Good luck! If it's an "under construction" flat, make sure you breathe down the builder's neck to make sure that work's progressing as scheduled. It's not uncommon for new apartment complexes to take a year longer than promised, at least in Bombay.
I bought a 20-year-old flat, so I'm having a different set of troubles. The wife's in favour of a complete renovation, which has effectively prevented us from staying there for even a single day after we got possession on June 25. Perhaps by the end of this month her modular kitchen will finally be in place... I hope.
