  4. I asked 'cause I have many of these in vcd/divx formats... Now that you want DVDs, there isn't much we(you know who we here are! ;-)) can do... Oh! I can do one thing... as beatzo suggested, I can go to shanghai/malaysia once... but that's not in the offing! :-)

As far as I know, The African Queen was never released on DVD. It's the most awaited DVD in the classi-film communities.

  5. I didn't know about The African Queen not being available on DVD. I don't know about most of the others either - films like El Topo might not be, too.

  11. DivX/XVid rips and a second-hand 21" monitor should suffice, methinks.

P.S a second hand 21" monitor comes for 4k in Hyd.

P.P.S Too bad about Bangalore and Cinema Paradiso.

  16. Only English films? What about Hindi classics?

I can get Hindi classics out here, won't need rich friends to send them across ;)

From your list, I'd like to have Being John Malkovich, The English Patient and Il Postino sure enough. I have Shakespeare In Love. Not really interested in the rest.
