Couldn't vote

Turns out my name was removed from the rolls. I guess the good folks from the Election Commissioner's office had checked my previous residence, found that I don't live there no more and happily deleted Sindha's and my name from the list. I don't exist, apparently.

Bah! This is the first time I've not voted, in the three elections that have passed since I turned 18.

  3. I could have, if I had tried earlier. Typically, I waited till the last day to find out my polling station and discovered this instead.

  5. When Vajpayee called, I was in the loo.. so missed his call ! :) Then later tried calling back on the number - 011 30820151.. but he didnt pick up the phone !

Later realised that it was Vajpayee when two other friends got the call from the same number..

  6. SM Krishna rocks. It is illegal in US/Canada to advertize/market stuff on cellphones. You can sue the guy if your cellphone provider co-operates and gives phone logs/caller ID logs to the cops. India has a long way to go ... :(

  9. Thousands couldn't vote out here in Bangalore. There was a big hue and cry, some even calling for re-polls!

  10. On the topic of the former and given your super negotiating skills, we would be pleased if you ask for a huge corpus for the interior furnishing exercise ;p

  11. OOh! Don't worry. You most probably won't have to wait for the full 5 years to vote again. :))
