Saw
Sethuramaiyer CBI and
Nandanam yesterday. The first was just about watchable, mainly for the nostalgia value. I liked
Nandanam, in spite of being prejudiced against it. It
is a syrupy sweet love story, but there was a freshness in the presentation. The
bhakti bit didn't jar either. Navya Nair deserved her state award.
In other news, I love
.
I liked Nandanam..........Navya Nair deserved her state award.
ReplyDeleteWHAT ?!?!???
Ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHeh heh. Read as Navya Nair deserved the best actress award, given by the Kerala state.
ReplyDeleteHappy?
amen
ReplyDeleteI thought she sucked big time in Sethuramaiyer. However, this was a pretty decent performance. I agree about the sexiness quotient, of course.
ReplyDeleteUnniMary? The last time I saw her was back in 1995, when she was walking through one of the bylanes in Ernakulam, alone and unloved. My friend who was with me said he was reminded of a balloon half filled with water.
But Unni Mary of the 80s was something else.
ReplyDeleteMy friend who was with me said he was reminded of a balloon half filled with water.
ROFL!
Amen 2!
ReplyDelete... Unni Mary of the 80s was something else.
ReplyDeleteThat brings back memories of something called 'Aamina Tailors' which connoisseurs of "Neela" industry would remember. (I think it was a 90's creation though).
I don't remember details of Aamina Tailors. Ms Mary's roles in a few films of the 80s, mainly with Balan K Nair or Lalu Alex as the villain, are definitely memorable.
ReplyDeleteAamina Tailors was also the name of a real movie (*ing Parvathi, I think). The version I mentioned was definitely not released in the theatres. And most certainly not made during Unni Mary's pink period.
