X-Men: The Last Stand

Thoughts:

Heh heh heh. Now to see Wolverine kick the shit out of those guys (Current Mood: excited)

Ooooh. So that's what she looks like without the blue paste (Current Mood: impressed)

What the hell! He dies? (Current Mood: confused)

Ha ha ha! The Golden Gate bridge! Ha ha ha! (Current Mood: enthralled)

Jean Grey. Oh my god, Jean Grey! (Current Mood: awed)

***

Was good fun, really. Story wise, the first two were better of course. And hey, please sit through the entire movie, right through the credits. The FULL credits.

  1. Loved the movie myself! And agree, X Men I and II had deeper characters and were generally nicer. THis one I guess was about killing off the older people or people who wouldn't sign on for further sequels :-)

  2. Heh. Said/thought all of the above and also:

(during the second "team play" scene) There is no way Wolverine could outwit that guy. Wussy moralising scriptwriters.
    and:
    (Annoyed) Chess pieces. Huh.

I am now uncertain about which is actually the coolest scene in the series. The exrtacting-iron-from-blood-escape in X2(what it lacks in scale it makes up for in style), the reprogramming Cerebro in X2 or the Golden Gate scene.

  3. yeah, lots of action to make sure you don't get bored. But I just felt that he tried to cram in too much into the movie.
my favourite scene was right before the credits, though :)

Yeah, either the Dark Phoenix or the "cure" storyline was a movie in itself.

  12. Magneto Rules! A new production 'Magneto' has been announced - a kind of prequel to X Men, about the time when Prof. X becomes 'old friend' from 'friend'. Hurray!!
