Find of the day

About the Do Not Call Registry websites for Indian banks. Hope it works, though.

Evil thought - what if it was a clever way to harvest phone numbers?!

  1. Ha, ha, i discovered that just last week. It's also there for telecom providers, I think. At least Airtel has one. I added my number to the list and they said they will stop sending in 2 days, but i am still getting smses on xyz scheme, abc ringtone download, blah, blah...Maybe I should take them to the consumer court. But first, a good old fashioned scream, I guess. :)

  2. Even if it wasn't intended to be one, it will end up as a way to harvest tele nos.

  6. Hi, just realised that I never added you onto my friends list. One of those things I just forgot to do that I am correcting now. One of my friends has actually been on a long standing shouting match with guys from Worldspace because they sold his data to some bank. The lady from the bank very stupidly told him how she got his number. The easiest way to escape all of this is to get unplugged. I now give out only my office number for everything.
