Hello, Delhi

Karol Bagh sucks. Found succour at Hotel Diplomat, in Chanakyapuri. Not a bad place, but the room rent is what you might pay at the Leela in Bangalore.

  1. Hey, what are you doing in town? And how long are you here for? And what possessed you to stay in CP?

  2. Recruitment. Flying back today evening, 745pm. Was going mad yesterday trying to find a decent place to stay. Finally dug up this place from a marketing booklet. You somewhere in the vicinity?

  3. Nope, am in Gurgaon, some 45 minutes' drive away. And busy as the maid is on leave. Besides J got home on Thursday night, after 6 weeks in Korea and we've dedicated today to as much laziness as the kids allow. :)

Let me know in advance the next time and we'll try and fix up something. Apu is in town too, near Dwarka.

  5. Pah, just re-read the post. I assumed CP but you are in Chanakyapuri. So 30 minutes or so. Most of my family lives near there - two uncles, my brother, one cousin.

Which means you could take in a movie at Chanakya. Or Saket. Or go spend some time in the puns in Saket, after looking through the second hand book shops there...

  8. I could have arranged a hotel for you. My dad's company gives enough business to the Hyatt to get very discounted rates from them. And it's very close to Chanakyapuri as well.
