Reminds me of the MG Road - Brigade Road juction a few years ago where the traffic police had stationed this LOUD woman with a microphone to bully jaywalkers back to the side of the road they were trying to get away from.
She went something like this.. "Hey you with the grey shirt. step back. Yes you. STEP BACK! Can't you see the signal!?" and the poor dude was wondering where that came from!
uncanny. i just finished reading george orwell's 1984. paints a horrible picture of negative utopia. lives lived under the scanner, complete with talking telescreens.
