2007 & '08

Slant magazine has a pretty good list of their top 10 movies of 2007 here. Don't miss the 'Superlatives' section towards the end.

I haven't watched a single film from those lists yet - my must-watch list grows longer and longer, sad to say.

As for my most anticipated movie of 2008....

    Rescue Dawn - Herzog's most accessible movie to date me thinks, but with his usual genius, Christian Bale once again is brilliant, this man can act!

    The Band's Visit - Sentimental movie, tryingly soppy at times, beautiful in many places, the premise and some caricatures just make it worth a watch, and another ;-)

    Paprika - Strip away everything, and just loop that dream sequence incessantly, and I'd keep watching it.
