Discworld is a fantasy world created by Terry Pratchett. If you have read Douglas Adams and Tolkien, think of Pratchett as a combination of both. Try out any of the following:

Have you read all his books? I live with a Pratchett fanatic, who has all of the Discworld books. I have been forbidden to read them out-of-order. My next foray is Small Gods.
Well I've read just 9-10 of them. I liked the first - The Colour of Magic - and one of the later ones, The Fifth Elephant. The Watch series are the best, IMHO - Guards ! Guards !, Feat of Clay, Jingo, Fifth Elephant, etc.
Just 9/10 of them... hahaha! Said like a true reader.
I've heard the Watch series are most popular. I haven't read far enough yet to decide. Although, I'm rather fond of the characters "Death", Nanny Ogg, and Granny Weatherwax.
I would love to see him satirize the Star Wars series, if he hasn't already.

I think I'm more a combination of Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. I'm not that old yet, but I'm working on it.
