Am starting on this Odyssey today evening. First stop, Bombay. Then the blasted de Gaulle airport. Then Cincinatti. Then Dallas. Then Vegas. Dallas. Atlanta. de Gaulle. Bombay. Bangalore.
Damn ! At least it gets over in a week.
On the good news front, met Beladev after six years. He is in town for just a day, staying with his brother at Madivala. He looks the same, though struggling with a goatee right now (he's on vacation). His son looks very much like him and appears to be quite a handful.
why don't you want to go??
ReplyDeleteanyway sounds like you are going to anyway.. so viva las vegas! bon voyage!
Have a nice trip, man.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll be fast asleep when you pass through amchi Mumbai :-)
Enjoy the trip dude. dont blow up too much money at the casino's ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's just a week.. that's 168 hours.. that's all! And then you will be back home.
ReplyDeleteSo bon voyage and have a safe flight. =)
if it were me, i'd never come back from vegas. :)
ReplyDeletebon voyage and all the very best!
Aah. There. Don't you feel better already?
ReplyDeleteHope you are not hit too hard with jet lag. If I had to travel that distance, I'd spend the whole week jet lagged.
ReplyDeleteTaking a camera?
ensoi maadi!
ReplyDeleteThanks ! Do you sleep at 830pm in amchi Mumbai ? ;-) But yes, my flight to Paris is at 200 am
ReplyDeleteThanks. What money ? ;-)
ReplyDeleteActually, yes. 168 hours suddenly doesn't look like a big deal. Bangalore, here I come !
ReplyDeleteThank you sir !
ReplyDeleteI'll try to sleep on the flight. Hopefully, that will reduce the jet lag.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm taking a camera. A small one.
Thanks !
ReplyDeleteI hope you are completely over the flu, and that you aren't congested. That can be so painful on flights! I took decongestants once when I was just getting over a cold and had to fly. I think it saved my head from exploding.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good trip.
bon voyage!
ReplyDeleteand dont forget the memorabilia/memento/souvenir/whatever.
should send another m@il to beldev.
de Gaulle > Cincinatti
ReplyDeleteDrink plenty of water.
Keep your circulation going (by walking down the isles when you can, wiggle your toes and flex your ankles).
Avoid crossing legs when seated.
Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes when travelling.
Avoid beverages which contain alcohol and/or caffeine both before and during the flight.
In Las Vegas, the casinos begin at the airport itself.
ReplyDeleteTake a limousine from the airport. If the prices haven't changed much in the last half-decade, a shared limo will cost you $8 to get to the city, while a taxi will cost $30. You'll arrive in style too.
The money that you are gonna make at the 1st round of gambling. I actually made sum money when I went there, the truth is, you wont stop till everything is gone :)
ReplyDeleteSmall tip : on slot machines, dont waste more then 3 coins on a single machine
guess its a bit late to wish you bon voyage, so happy landing!!! enjoy your week and then come back and be a good husband. (Advice #125 from Veena's Book of Wisdom)
ReplyDeleteNope we dont sleep that early ;-)
ReplyDelete200 am? What unearthly hour is that, lol.
Thanks !
ReplyDeleteYour userpic is so familiar ! Is this you ?
Thanks for the tip. I looked around for a shared limo but didn't find any. Had to take a cab, but it was only about $12 to get to the hotel from the airport, so it was ok.
