Two takeaways after watching Hulchul on Saturday:

  1. Switching off a light in the bedroom might wake a baby, but putting the sleeping baby through three hours of a Priyadarshan movie in a theater won't have any effect.

  2. Bloody hell! He put the cow scene from Thenkasipattanam in a movie remake of Godfather. Gah!

  2. Ah, I feel repsonsible now (for line of beauty)

You didn't mention the Chikan work kurtas in hulchal. They were the highlights of the movie.

  4. Yeah, you were responsible for the book. I'll wallop you on the head with it if I don't like it.

  5. How or why?

The only Rice book I liked was Interview With The Vampire. I bought this one for the erotic bits, which I thought were very well written.

  10. Actually, I meant "How did you like Anne Rice?". Sad college lingo, please to ignore.

  11. Riddle me this : how good are the new Asterix books now that Uderzo is solo-ing ?

I am assuming this one is from the newer lot too. I got one of the newer ones ...wasn't very impressed. Seemed like a Priyadarshan flick -- rehash of the older stuff :S

  12. The newer ones are downright horrible - Asterix and the Actress made me want to puke my guts out. However, this one - Class Act - is a collection of stories from Pilote. It's a must buy for any Asterix fan. Lots of good stuff.
